So last week on thursday we went on a field trip into the mountains!
So we left early thursday, and went by bus to a place where we made fake food samples and i didn't take any pictures. (yeah)
then we went to lunch at a BBQ type place, which is basically cook your own food at the table on a hot thing and then they also give you sauce and all the rice you can eat, it was pretty much amazing.
then we went to shirakawa village, pictures are below also, there were many traditional houses and plenty of toursty things to look at.
after that there was more bus then we got to the farmhouse we were staying at, we had a diner of mostly fish you'll see below, and i tried some stuff but for the most part just ate rice. then we went to the Onsen which is a hot spring and that felt nice =) then we hung out in the farm house and talked and stuff with some of the japanese kids also.
then sleep
woke up and had an interesting traditional breakfast with raw egg over rice, and some stuff i didn't try too much of because i don't feel to adventurous in the morning, did try some of the egg over rice, not a big fan.
Then we went up in shinhotaka ropeway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinhotaka_Ropeway) we were at the top and the view was.... nothing. Fog.
Then we went to takayama town for lunch on our own and came back and had a weekend as usual. all in all a fun trip, some low points here and there but had a good time overall =) was really nice to get out into the middle of japan and out of the city, it was really nice and pretty out there. i liked that a lot.
Other than the trip it was just a week as normal, this week i'm getting ready for a trip to tokyo next weekend.

Oh yeah, went to a festival on Saturday. a guy "from space" hugged me.
captions are more or less self Explain a tory and i'm getting frustrated with these photos and my computer overheating every 5 or so minutes and having to retype some stuff and blah. this comp is on it's last legs.
Also sorry about the repeating pictures, they wont go away if i try to delete them O_O this is frustrating tonight...
